The Texas Sunset Commission is responsible for the regular assessment by the Legislature of the continuing need for a state agency to exist. In 2005, the Sunset Commission will make recommendations to the Texas Legislature regarding the organization and functions of the Texas Education Agency, including its roles with instructional materials.
