The new 2004 adoption of Texas textbooks is the first call for instructional materials for enrichment courses in nearly a decade. The adopted instructional materials are aligned with newly developed Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for enrichment courses. For fine arts, health and foreign language educators who have been teaching from the same tattered texts for years, this is an exciting opportunity to enrich their programs and enhance core subjects in the enrichment coursework.
